Happy Birthday America!

We had a wonderful 4th of JULY!!! It was a cloudy and sometime wet day, which was awesome since we have had a very hot couple of weeks. We spent the morning in our Power Ranch Community. First the kids got to play at our local playground and then we participated in a small community parade. The kids had fun walking in the parade and waving to neighbors. The local Gilbert Fire Department brought their ladder truck and the kids got to see it up close as well as get inside of it.

Walking in the parade! - Not the best pic, you can't see all the other people walking too.

We saw a mommy and baby ducks while we were in the parade.

Emma and Logan inside the fire truck.

Even though it was raining, it was still 90 degrees outside. Later in the morning we let the kids play in the rain as well as play with water balloons. They had a blast throwing balloons at each others feet, as well as sliding down the very wet playground slide. We also let the kiddos play in the pool a bit.

Following our morning outside playing we took a long afternoon nap. Yes! The whole family enjoyed some much needed down time. After our nap we went to Nona and Papa's house for bbq and we brought fireworks. The kids love playing with the sparklers and snap caps.

WE HAD AN AWESOME 4TH OF JULY, WE HOPE YOU DID TOO!!!
