Frozen Family Dance

Tonight Centennial had a family dance and the theme was FROZEN after the Disney movie. Emma, Logan, and myself went. Justin has been feeling under the weather with his wrist so I took the big kids and let Landon have some Daddy time at home. The dance was fun. There wasn't a ton of people which made it nice. Logan saw a bunch of his buddies, there weren't very many third graders there so Emma stayed with me most of the night.

Logan and his buddy Noah

Love them!

Busting a move!

She's so pretty!

Mommy and Sister shot, the flash was really bright.

They had a photobooth there and this is the cute picture that Emma and Logan took

...Home Renovations...

We have had a lot of changes happening around our home these last few weeks. After lots of debate and time we finally made the decision to remodel so very important parts of our house. We have lived in our home for over 7 years and aside from painting different rooms on the inside we really haven't done much up keep to the outside. Over time areas have presented problems and finally I am happy to say we changed and improved those areas for the better.

We decided to remodel our entryway. Before there was tile and over time that tile has popped off the concrete underneath it. We laid pavers down throughout the whole area now our entryway is larger and  gives us more usable space. We also repainted the entire exterior of the house as well as put in new rock throughout the backyard. Our biggest change was adding turf to our backyard. After years of battling allergies with the grass and Emma and then having Sarge who is allergic to the grass as well we decided to change our grass to turf. It was a huge change and we love how it looks. Now our grass always looks beautiful and Emma (and Sarge) can enjoy playing outside without having to deal with allergies flaring up.

It's The Little Things...

Tonight we went to Dairy Queen and had dinner. While we waited we talked about our day and played Rock, Paper, Scissors. It was fun to take the kids out to a place they liked and just do something as simple as playing a game and having ice cream. It's the little things that can be so special.

Homework Fun!

Logan had a super fun homework assignment today. He was asked to measure things around the house using a non-standard method of measuring. We went in the basement and found my pattern cubes that I used for preschool. Logan started measuring things around the house and Landon had to join in as well.   They had a lot of fun!

A Play-doh Morning

Landon is getting busier and busier every day. He loves to be moving, exploring, and making messes. He is a true toddler now and I love it! He talks all the time, makes noises with his toys when he plays, says phrases that just make you laugh, and provides so much laughter and joy on a daily basis. Today we played with play-doh he played for hours this morning creating perfect little masterpieces. I just love him and his infectious smile!

...My 33rd Birthday...

Today I celebrated my 33rd Birthday! Holy cow 33... I mean I hardly feel 33. I remember thinking in high school that being in your 30s was old, not old, old, but still older and now here I am 33 today! Well I can tell you I don't feel 33, maybe 28, yeah 28 is a good number. ;) It's hard not believe that I am edging closer to that mid-thirties mark yet it truly is an incredible thing to celebrate. I feel so lucky to be me celebrating my 33rd birthday with an amazing family, three healthy and happy kiddos, a husband that shows me love and respect everyday, and friends. I am seriously blessed by so many on my birthday.

I wanted to share the best present I received today and it was from Justin. He found this amazing card and while it wasn't the birthday gift itself it could have been. It made me cry and feel so loved. So here it is...

Once there was this guy.
A nice guy, really.
And he met this girl.
An incredible girl-truly amazing.
So naturally the guy falls
head over heels in love with her,
and pretty soon they're picking out
china patterns and rings
and there's a wedding
and the starry-eyed couple
rides off into what will surely
be a rosy future.

Okay, so now some time has passed
and the guy is living in that future.
He's still married to this girl,
but now their life includes a lot of stuff-
appliances and bills and loads of laundry
and home repair projects.
But between all the to-dos and have-tos,
there are these moments
when the guy stops for a minute
and looks around him.

He looks at his wife,
who is still truly amazing,
he looks at their life together,
all the ways and different
directions it's grown,
he looks at all
the responsibilities he's got,
and he thinks to himself,
so, this is my life.

And then he thinks,
I am one helluva lucky guy.
Happy Birthday
I Love You!

So sweet huh... I just loved it.
...........................................................................................................................................................
My birthday this year fell on a Monday and I started the day with some of my sweet friends. We went to breakfast, had coffee, cupcakes and just enjoyed hanging out. It was a perfect morning. Landon even got to play with some friends.

That evening after every body was home for the night Justin and the kids gave me my birthday gift. They bought this beautiful necklace for me. It is so pretty and iridescent, it changes from purple to green and was so unique.

Overall I had a wonderful birthday. I felt super special and enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks to all who made it so special!
