Emma's Kindergarten and Logan's Preschool Artwork - September 2010

Mod Podge

I tried a new craft yesterday, it is called MOD PODGE. Now according to everyone who uses it there are so many things you can do with it. I decided to make letters for a lady at our church. She asked me to create cute letters that could go in her office so that when people come in it would reflect her area of ministry. So I mod podged some letter and below is the final result. This was such an easy craft and now I have more ideas for baby shower gift, hahaha.

Shadow-A-Student Day

Wednesday, September 28th was Shadow-A-Student Day at Emma's school. She was so excited to have me come to school with her and see what she does everyday.

Emma and I before school started.

Walking to Emma's class, hands behind our backs and bubbles in our mouths.

Putting her backpack away.

Classroom Work.

Emma was the Girl's Line Leader for the day.

Emma and her journal. She completes a journal page each day.

Emma wanted me to take a picture of the drawing she made for her teacher.
Her teacher put in on her wall and Emma thought that was so neat!

WORKSHOP TIME.

It was such a fun day! I love seeing how hard she works every day.
We are so proud of her!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Yesterday we celebrated Justin's 29th Birthday! He had a busy work day complete with lunch with his brother Mike and when he got home we picked up Sonic and went to the park for a picnic and a little get together with our friends. The kids and I made cupcakes to celebrate the event. The kids had a blast playing at the playground and seeing all their friends.
Here is Justin with his cupcakes...

Happy Birthday to the best Daddy and Husband!
WE LOVE YOU!!!!

Rylie

We like to stay busy at the Chase house and this week we had the opportunity to take care of Ms. Rylie (she is my cousin Lindsey's little girl). My cousin wanted to start substitute teaching to stay involved in the teaching world while she was staying at home with Rylie. I will now be watching Rylie once a week while she teaches. The kids and I had so much fun playing with her.

Our Disney Countdown Has Begun!

We are going to Disneyland again for Fall Break. We had so much fun last year and our kids LOVE everything Disney so we thought let's do it again. We starting planning our trip in March and now it is finally getting closer. If you know me you know I love calendars especially countdown calendars. I made a countdown calendar last year for our Disney vacation because Emma kept asking me when we were going, so this year I made another calendar. Both Emma and Logan have so much fun taking the numbers off and watching the days go bye. Plus I love that I can direct them to the calendar anytime they ask about when we are going.

Fun with Nona and Papa

Last weekend we went to the Phoenix Suns Arena with Nona and Papa for an invitation only event sponsored by FlexPrint. It was a family friendly venue that had a jumpy house, slide, food, ice cream buffet, face painting, balloon artist, and lots of basketball. The kids even got a chance to play on the Phoenix Suns court. We had a lot of fun hanging out with Nona and Papa!

Awesome action shot taken by my hubby!
She has great form.
Logan and his sword, you can tell he was getting tired.
A ride from Papa made it better.
Thank you Nona and Papa for taking us to such a fun event!

1st ASU Football Game (actually 2nd)!

The first ASU game was at the beginning of September and it was 110 degrees at kick off time (7:30pm) so Meme and I decided to not bring the kids because of the scorching temps. The second game was much cooler (93 degrees at kick off) so the kids, Meme, and I went with the guys to cheer on our Sun Devils. We had a great time. You will notice in the picture above that the volume of the crowd and cheering was really loud for Logan now that he has his tubes in his ears so we are working on getting some ear plugs before the next game.

It's going to be a great season! Go DEVILS!!!
