Reading Under The Stars

Tonight we took our kiddos to Reading Under the Stars at their school. Every year their school hosts this event were students are encouraged to come and read in the courtyard, visit the book fair, and this year they added guest readers (aka teachers dressed up silly) and also a poetry center. Emma and Logan had a blast seeing their friends. There is always something so exciting about seeing friends outside of the designated "school time". Emma wrote poetry and published it, she also got to hang out with two of her BFF's as she says, Alanna and Jessica. Logan wrote Justin a sweet letter about being the best daddy. It just amazes Justin and I the amount of writing Logan is doing and how well he is doing it. Sometimes I forget that he is only a kindergartener because it is so good! At the end of the night the kids got up on stage and performed the song "Happy". They have been practicing it in music and it was fun to see them excited to perform it.

...Sliding...

Landon loves to be outside and he loves sliding. I had to get a few play by play shots of him being such a big boy and climbing and sliding down the slide all by himself. It's so funny because my baby isn't so much a baby anymore.

Art Masterpiece

Art Masterpiece is an enrichment program that the art teacher at Emma and Logan's school puts together. Parents are asked to volunteer once a month to teach students about artists from years ago. My good friend Ann and I shared the art masterpiece duties this year for Emma's class. It is so fun to be in the classroom helping kids create art that resembles famous artist. I really have a great time and of course I LOVE spending that time with Emma!
