Snow in AZ

Last night brought lots of rain to our house, but the mountains around the valley got lots of beautiful snow. Today we tried to go to the snow, but unfortunately our route was closed due to an accident. We did stop along the side of the road so Justin could take some pictures and I snapped a few myself with my little camera. It's not often that we see snow like this and so close to where we live, but here's a little glimpse... pretty huh!

Soccer Girl

This year we decided to sign Emma up for soccer. We love to have both Emma and Logan in some type of activity outside our home. Emma does dance and Logan takes a sports class right now, but we thought Emma would also like to try soccer. Last night was her first practice and she did great. It didn't take her long to figure out how to dribble the ball and stop it without using her hands. It was so fun watching her and she even waved and said HI to Logan a few times. We can't wait to watch her PURPLE team in their first game on Saturday, definately expect pictures to follow!

Our sweet little man turns 3 today. Yesterday we celebrated Logan by throwing a sports themed bday party. We rented a bouncy house, had all of Logan's favorite snack (including freshly popped popcorn), cupcakes, and more! Logan had the best time playing with his friends and visiting with family. I Can't Believe This Is A Real Hammer...

Last night Emma and Logan helped daddy build a bookshelf for his new office. Daddy asked Emma if she wanted to hammer the nails into the bookcase and while she was hammering she stopped and with her eyes getting bigger said, "I can't believe this is a real hammer". Now to some of you this may not seem like the funniest thing, but to Justin and I we thought it was hillarious and it just made us smile. You know sometimes I forget how little things can be considered HUGE in the eyes of a kid. Just one of the many JOYS of parenthood!

Look What's for Dinner Tonight!!!!

We planted a winter garden this past fall. The picture below is the full grown Roman Lettuce that we planted. It is amazing to me when anything I plant grows. I really don't do anything to our garden and plants still manage to grow. Well tonight Arizona is suppose to have a bad frost so I went outside and picked all our lettuce. So yes we are having a super yummy salad tonight for dinner fresh from our garden! Pretty awesome if you ask me!
