This morning Emma, Logan, and I embarked on an early morning Zoo expedition. The kids woke up bright and early (6am) ready to go to the zoo, we arrived at 7am. The kids have been so excited to go to the zoo this summer, but it has been incredibly hot and with being pregnant the zoo has not been on my list of fun activities this summer. With saying that I told the kids we could go as long as we went REALLY, REALLY early. Today was perfect, it was overcast and it rained last night which helped the temperatures stay low. We were able to pretty much see all the animals we wanted as well as play in the two different splash fountains, pet the stingrays, and ride the carousel all in about 3 1/2 hours. Needless to say we had a great time and for once I was happy to have kiddos that like to wake up early.
