Resurrection Rolls

It's easy to forgot the TRUE meaning of Easter when there is so much focus on the Easter bunny, finding eggs, and candy. We read John 19-20 about the sentence, crucifixion, death, and burial of Jesus. After that we read we created resurrection rolls. We unrolled the crescent roll to represent the burial linen cloths of Jesus. Next we used mini marshmallows to represent the pure, sinless body of Christ and rolled them in butter and cinnamon and sugar. The butter and cinnamon sugar represent the burial oils and spices used. We rolled the marshmallows in the crescent roll and then placed them in the oven. When they came out the kids were so excited to see that the marshmallows were gone.
Jesus has risen! He's Alive!

Trying our rolls after the reveal.
