Emma's class along with all the other 3rd grade classes have decided to do a service project this month that focuses on feeding students at an elementary school in Phoenix. Many of the kids who go to this school receive 1 meal a day. Emma's class wanted to help these kiddos have a meal for the Thanksgiving holiday. Each student was asked to bring in 1 reusable bag filled with a breakfast item, rice, soup, canned vegetable & fruit, stuffing, canned chicken & tuna, peanut butter, pasta, and potatoes. Emma came home motivated to help these kiddos and asked Meme and me to help her out. We decided to shop at the grocery store and $1 store and with Meme's help Emma was able to bring 15 bags to school. That means 15 students were able to have all the fixing to make a warm meal for Thanksgiving! It was a HUGE accomplishment and Emma was so excited to be a part of this service project!
