Sharing Spaces...

We have been preparing for Landon's arrival for what seems like a long time. This summer we started the process. Upstairs we have 3 bedrooms down the kids hallway. Emma and Logan used to have there own room and they also had a playroom, but since we have been preparing for Landon we have done a lot of moving items around in our house. At first we were going to let each kid have their own rooms, but then we decided that the playroom was too valuable to have upstairs and we weren't sure where we were going to put all the playroom items. So we decided to have Emma and Logan share a room. This was not an easy decision. Honestly we didn't know whether they would get along enough to share the same space, we weren't sure how well they would sleep being together, and we didn't know how morning would be since Logan loves to wake up about an hour before Emma.

Since July the kids have been sharing a room and it has been fabulous!!! They are sharing the room that was created to be the playroom at first. All the painting in the room was created with the two of them in mind and now that they share the bedroom it just seems perfect. They sleep so well being in the same room, I think they both like having the other in there with them. It has brought them closer and also helped them learn how to share better. I wanted to post some pictures of their room because this will probably be the only time they share a bedroom. We plan on moving them into their own rooms once I am finished teaching preschool, so sometime next summer.

I also wanted to include a picture of the playroom too. This used to be Emma's room and we kept all the different colors in the room since it made it so colorful and we knew that we would probably have to repaint the room once Logan moved into it this summer. The space is not as big as the kids were used to, but it is still a suitable space and gives the kids more room to play!

Our new playroom.

Lastly we rearranged our living room and entry way. We had a sofa sleeper downstairs in the basement that was never being used and so I thought it would look great upstairs since we had so much room in our living room. We moved our living room stuff around and I moved some of our entry way items as well and I am so happy with the results! Sorry for the fall decorations!
