AZ Edge Halloween Spooktacular

Tonight Emma's dance company hosted there annual Halloween Spooktacular. All dancers get to go to the studio in costume and hang out, dance, play games, eat pizza, and more. Emma was so excited to go and be with her dance girlfriends. Plus she got to wear her tooth fairy costume for the first time which she couldn't wait to do. The highlight of the night was that they had a costume competition and Emma won for most original costume. She was so happy and as an award she got a cute little purse with goodies inside it. Overall she said it was the BEST NIGHT EVER (her exact words, LOL)!!!!!

Centennial's Pumpkin Lighting 2013

Tonight we went to Emma and Logan's school for there annual Pumpkin Lighting event. Every year at Halloween Centennial Elementary has a Pumpkin Lighting. Each class is asked to create a pumpkin. The pumpkins are placed around the exterior of the school and everyone walks around looking at the different pumpkins. The school also offers different activities such as pizza dinner, pumpkin patch, games, a haunted hallway, and it is the final night for the book fair. This year 2nd and 3rd graders also performed Halloween songs. We were so excited to see Emma and the other 2nd graders sing. We had a great time! The Pumpkin Lighting event has become something our kiddos look forward to every year.

Emma's 2nd Grade Class Pumpkin

At the kids school they do an annual event they call Pumpkin Lighting. It is the school's way of having a Halloween Party for all the families that attend the school. Each class is asked to have a pumpkin for the Pumpkin Lighting. There is also food, games, crafts, the book fair and more at the Pumpkin Lighting. This year Emma's second grade teacher asked the class if anyone would like to volunteer to create the pumpkin for their class. Emma and Brock her buddy is class volunteered to do it. Last night we created silly pumpkin monsters. Emma, Logan, Brock, and Claire had a great time spooning out the guts and putting their silly monsters together. I also had fun and the best part I have to admit is knowing that my girl is excited to share and do these activities with me as well.

HAPPY PUMPKIN LIGHTING!!!

Award of Excellence

Emma received the Award of Excellence in Physical Education this month from her P.E. Coach, Coach Mac. She was so excited and honored since the Physical Education Award only goes to one student in the entire school. We are so proud of our sweet girl and for always doing her best in everything she does. WAY TO GO SISTER, YOU ROCK!!!

I was looking at Centennial's website yesterday and found this picture of Logan and I from Shadow-A-Student Day. I showed Logan and he thought it was so cool to be on the computer. Below our picture was a whole article about the event. In the picture Logan is reading his homework to Mrs. Motroni while I watch. I have to say that I love how many fun events the kindergarten classes do at our school. Hooray for Kindergarten!

Logan & Flag Football

Logan started Flag Football this week! He is so excited to play football and meet new friends. He is doing flag football with I9 Sports and so far we are very pleased with the program. It has proven to be a great introduction to this new sport. We can't wait to see Logan grow as a football athlete.
