San Diego Spring Break - Arrival & San Diego Zoo

We decided to take a mini-vacay to San Diego for Spring Break. I was so excited to get out of the house and away from all the day to day doings and go and relax in San Diego for a couple days. We stayed in La Jolla and went to the San Diego Zoo and Sea World while we were there.

When we first got in we went to downtown La Jolla and saw the sea lions that hang out there and ate dinner. The next day we went to the San Diego Zoo. The zoo is truly amazing and outstanding! They had so many animals, it is such a great zoo to get up close to animals. We also rode on the sky tram that they had there and took the double decker bus tour. We had a great time!

Soccer Picture Day!

Just had to post a cute picture of my loves on soccer picture day.
Happy Soccer Saturday!

Reading Under The Stars.

Last night Emma's school had an event called Reading Under The Stars. It was a fun way to end the Dr. Seuss Week. Families were invited to bring blankets and books and read under the lovely Arizona sky. It was a chilly night, but the kids had a great time going to the Scholastic Book Fair, reading, and meeting the Cat in the Hat! It is always fun to participate in school events like this.

Celebrating Dr. Seuss's Birthday!

This week Emma's school celebrated the great author Dr. Seuss. The whole school participated in different spirit day. In the picture below students were asked to wear all green to celebrated Dr. Seuss's book Green Eggs & Ham and Ms. Emma rocked an awesome green outfit.

At Sweet Beginnings we celebrated Dr. Seuss as well with a Dr. Seuss day. We had centers that were themed after Dr. Seuss's favorite books and characters. We tried green eggs and ham and played some fun games. It was truly a super fun day and a great way to celebrate such an amazing author!

Character Counts!

Last night we celebrated Emma and her achievement in Character Counts. Centennial (Emma's school) participates in a program called Character Counts that teaches students the 6 pillars of character. Emma was recognized last night for exhibiting the pillar of RESPECT! Each teacher at the school picks one girl and one boy from their classroom to get recognized at the assembly. Justin and I were so proud of our sweet girl and her accomplishment.

Emma received her certificate and a t-shirt.

We are so proud of our little girl!
