ASU Scrimmage Game...Who's Ready for the 2012 Season?

On Saturday Justin and Logan had a daddy/son date and went to ASU SunDevils field and watched ASU scrimmage against one another. The team does this every year and the game is free to the public. Logan loved spending time with his daddy as well as see his favorite team play, Sparky even made an appearance and said he remembered seeing Logan at Logan's birthday. Overall it was a fun Saturday afternoon.

Emma's 1st Kindergarten Field Trip

Last Friday was Emma's first official field trip as a big elementary school kid! Her class along with all the other kindergarten classes and first grade classes participated in the Power Ranch Annual Ladybug Release. Power Ranch, our neighborhood that we live in, releases over 600,000 ladybug every year into the community in order to beautiful our plants and environment. Emma's class was able to take part in the experience and she had a blast.

Emma with her lunch, this was a big deal since she hasn't ate lunch at school yet.

Ms. Ladybug, she also read a ladybug book to the kids.

Almost release time!

Each class got 6 bags of ladybug. In each bag there were 200-300 ladybugs, it was an incredible amount. Since I was a group leader our group got their very own bag to release. It was amazing how many ladybugs we let out of our bag, Emma was excited (see pictures below).

Can you spot the ladybug on Emma's shoe? The kids literally had them crawling all over them, it was pretty funny.

Lunch time!

Soccer Season is Over...

Today was our last Soccer Saturday! We had a great season, it was so fun watching both kids participate this year. Logan had so much fun making new friend and learning the basics of soccer. He loved all the players on his team, especially his coach and he LOVED the name of his team "the Red Bulls". He scored a goal in his last game and he was so excited!!!

After Logan's game his team had a pizza party at Barros and we got to celebrate a great season! I brought a cake for the team, I think it came out pretty cute!

Emma had a wonderful season as well. This was only her second year playing, but she seems to be getting better each practice and game. She has become an aggressive player that is willing to get in between girls to get the ball. She scored 3 goals for the season and it truly has been wonderful to watch her play.

We couldn't be more proud of our two amazing kiddos
and all the effort they put into this season!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter, full of family and fun! Justin played at church again this year and we had the chance to enjoy watching him rock out. Meme and Papa had lunch at our house and we hunted Easter eggs. Later in the evening we went to Nona and Papa's house and hunted for more Easter eggs as well as played with cousins. Here are a few pictures from our day.

11 Week Baby Update!

On Wednesday I went in for my 11 week visit. I wish I had new pictures or something super exciting to share, but it was routine and kind of boring. The doctor did the usual stuff, checked my urine, felt my stomach, and asked me if I had any questions. Of course I had no questions and lucky for me I have been feeling pretty good. I really can't complain about this pregnancy I have had little sickness and other than feeling tired 24/7 I have felt pretty good. I have been way more EMOTIONAL this time around. It is pretty amazing to me how pregnancy hormones work. I may be watching a commercial about dog food and all of a sudden I have tears rolling down my face. Yes it is that extreme!!! We were watching The Muppet movie the other night and of course I was a mess by the end of it. I can't help but laugh at the craziness that is my emotions right now, but I suppose that is the joy of pregnancy this time around. So as my first trimester is coming to an end, I can't help but be so thankful to this sweet baby growing inside of me. I can't wait for each day, week, and month as I continue to progress. My next appointment is at 15 weeks and then after that appointment we have our second ultrasound where they look at the baby's anatomy and where we can find out what we are having. We have decided to let the kids decide if we find out the sex or not, right now it looks like we are going to find out. Justin and I truly don't care if it is a boy or a girl, how could we. It is just so fun to have the kids involved with this pregnancy. So stayed tuned to 15 week updates and much much more to come!!!

The Renaissance Festival

Last weekend we took the kids to the Renaissance Festival. The Renaissance Festival comes to Arizona in the months of March and April and is open only on weekends. At the Renaissance Festival you can dress up, eat yummy foods like turkey legs, and do activities that you would normally never have the chance to do like throw an ax or ride an elephant. The kids had so much fun. We watching a joisting tournament, the kids got to get a few special toys and ride a few rides. We had a wonderful afternoon enjoying the nice AZ weather and hanging outside with each other.

BIG sister, BIG brother

Just a few days after our first ultrasound we told the kids that they were going to be a big sister again and a big brother. Justin found these great books I'm A Big Sister and I'm A Big Brother. Both books talk about how important and special it is to be a big sister and brother. We thought this was a great way to tell the kids because they both LOVE books!!! Here are a few pictures from the evening we told them.

About to open their books...
opening...
Emma's reaction! She was so excited she started crying. We asked her if she was sad because at first it caught us off guard, she said that she was so happy and that she really wanted another brother or sister. It was seriously so sweet!!!

Showing there new books and as you can see they are super excited to have a new baby brother or sister.
